Broccoli Salad Recipe

Broccoli Salad recipes are delicious and can be nutritious. A real “super food” broccoli is chock full of nutrition, antioxidants and flavor. This recipe is also an easy way to get more vegetables in your diet. I’ve got to admit, the dressing isn’t too healthy – but it is delicious. Try no-fat mayo, light cheese and leave out the bacon for a more healthy option. You can make this salad with raw broccoli or blanch it a bit to hold the color and soften the florets. If you don’t like raw broccoli blanch the broccoli for 1 minute or so. But be careful to not leave the broccoli in the water too long. This recipe pairs broccoli, bacon and a dressing to make a sweet and sour salad that’s a great side dish or meal all on its own.

hello, great video clip – You explain things very well n cover all areas – many never mention (as a alter or substitute) or like how long to cook n what temp n or boil for aprox how long. I only have one ejective n that is the 1/2 cup of sugar in the dressing / ruin the recipe for me

I was thinking something like: “woow! a raw recipe!” but then you put bacon :D anyway, did you know that eating raw makes people healthy for the rest of their lives?

She doesn’t recomend using miracle whip, while she adds sugar to the mayonaise? Isn’t that what mirale whip is…. sugary mayonaise?

Is this so in the States? Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist? I honestly didn’t know! Where I live (Japan) “Nutritionist” is a National Certification profession so nobody can call themselves a nutritionist without the certificate… Thank you for the information I will be much more careful!

That’s good to know, but did you know that ANYONE can call themselves a nutritionist? There is no registered or recognised training for this job snd the title therefore means nothing? So, all I’m saying is, be careful what you believe when its stated by a ‘nutritonist’.
