ever hear of hoe cakes? People used to use a their hoe head (cleaned I hope) over a small fire to cook in the field. Also have read where a hunting guide in Africa uses a flat spade as a griddle, keeps it on his Rover to dig out or to cook on.</description>

How about some bannock cooked on a stick? 

Its quick and easy.   

Ingredients
4 cups flour
8 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup canola oil
2 Tbsp. white sugar (Optional.)
1 tsp. salt
3 cups cold water.
Mix and wrap on a stick.</description>
