    I usually just steam mine and add butter, but will try them stuffed and with olive oil next time. Looks amazing! Happy Holidays, Clara and thanks for all the good recipes!

    I love stuffed artichokes! I never throw out the stem, though. I cut it into cubes and stick it inside some of the leaves, and it gets soft when it cooks, and tastes like the delicious bottom part of the artichoke ^_^

    I have Clara’s CD (from her website) and her book (Amazon) and love them both. I read the cookbook in one sitting. Her stories about the horrible Depression are uplifting and relevant today. And boy, are they ever interesting!

    My grandmother (born in 1902) lived through it and used to tell me many stories, too. My mother and aunt are close to Clara’s age and remember a lot.

    Your ideas are so helpful. I loved your laughing at the end!

    Don’t stop allowing us to learn from you.
