It usually comes in a can (available at most Indian grocery stores or Asian markets). You can always use fresh mangoes. You may need to add a little extra sugar depending on how sweet the mangoes are.

Living in Britian, I've never come across a whipped cream substitute before like Whip Top. After reading the ingredients of it though (hydrogenated fat, artificial sweeteners etc) I'm quite happy to use natural dairy based whipped cream :) I can't wait to try it.

you sho;dnt do that, the reason for using whipped topping in the first place is that it doesnt clott, if you use actual whipped cream its gonna curdle if you freeze it

@cherie88cc92 if you cant find mango pulp, you can make it at home. cut fresh mango into small pieces, put into the food processor, add a little bit of water and crush it into puree. fresh mango always tastes better

Love mango, so enjoying this recipe, although it is a bit cold for ice cream here (UK) right now! Had a lovely mango rice pudding with pistachio and sweet chilli the other day - recommend trying that if you fancy something a bit unusual.
