Hello, yes you can omit the cornmeal. I would lightly coat the filets with some olive oil and then hit them with some S&P. Place in a pre-heated pan with a bit more olive oil. Sautee’ on both sides until done. Hope this helps.

Tilapia is St. Peter’s Fish. . In the Philippines, Tilapia is very popular. Thre 3 kind, Native-small dark gray mostly in the creeks, brooks and ricflds. Cultured -matured size like standard baby pilow and the Orange Color known as “Israel”. This is the fovorite fish of our National Hero Jose Rizal. Unfrnatley its not our National fish.

I have been eating talapia almost daily now (yes, I love it that much) and I am glad to see this recipe so I can try something different before I bore myself. I put mustard on it and then lemon pepper and place it in a 500 degree oven and it is wonderful. I got this recipe from Aateya here on youtube to. You guys ROCK!!!! Hello. I am not sure if this is the same tilapia that you have in the Philippines. Most tilapia in today’s stores are aquacultured or farm raised. Tilapia is also known as St. Peter’s fish, and in Hawaii it is known as Hawaiian sun fish.
